Ghana striker Mahatma Otoo silenced his doubting coach in the Norwegian top-flight on Sunday when he scored his first goal since moving to the European country as he helped Sogngal to a 2-1 league victory over Sandness.
The former Hearts of Oak playmaker, who was making his first start in many matches after being frozen of the bench by coach Jonas Olsson, struck in the second minute to open his scoring account in the Norwegian top-flight.
Sogndal trainer Jonas Olsson was forced to field the Ghanaian after some of the players in the club last week criticized the coach for leaving out Otoo in recent matches when it was clear he was the most impressive attacker of the team at training.
Otoo responded by firing in his first goal since moving from Accra Hearts of Oak to the Norwegian side in the summer and also answering the doubts in the coach’s mind over the abilities of the former Ghana league top scorer.
