GHANAIAN QUARTET WOES AS TP MAZEMBE FAILS TO WIN CAF CONFEDERATION CUP

TP MAZEMBE FAILED TO WIN CAF CONFEDERATION CUP

Five Ghanaian Players were involve when Congo's top flight TP Mazembe failed to win this years Caf Confederation Cup,as they were stripped of the trophy by Tunisian side CS Sfaxian in the finals .

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Brekum Chelsea players Yaw Fimpong and Solomon Asante won a place in coach Felix Cateron's starting line up as they filled the right back and right wing positions respectively with the later being substituted after picking a knock.Gladson Awaku,Daniel Nii Agyei and Richard Kissi Boateng all watch the game from the bench.Former Great Olympics defender Seth Konadu also featured the entire duration for Sfaxian.

Mazembe who were coming into the game with a 2 goal deficit in the first league  got themselves on track as they were were able to get 2goals in the first half through Tanzania forward Samantha,but the Congolese received a last minute shock when Sfaxian pulled one back at the stroke of full time to deny the game from going to a penalty shoot outs as the game ended 2-1 in favor of Mazembe but lost 3-2 on aggregate.
