KWASI NYANTEKYI GOES UNOPPOSSED IN WAFU PRESIDENCY

KWASI  NYANTEKYI  WENT UNOPPOSSED IN WAFU ZONE B PRESIDENCY

The President of the Ghana Football Association Lawyer Kwasi Nyantekyi today went unopposed as he was elected as the west African Football Union(WAFU) president for the second time.After 2years in office,the GFA president was once again named as the president of the association.

Spokes person of the Ghana FA,Mr. Sannie Darra confirmed when he told PEACE FM,a local radio station.He said the President has set a target within the next 3years.He noted that the issue of women football in the West Africa sub region has been something that the president has occassionally told about and he aims to improve womens football in the sub region.He also said the commitee are aiming to push the Ivory Coast who are well reconed in Africa football to try it's possible best to host the 2019 and 2021 Africa cup of nations since the last time they hosted was way back 1984.

Kwasi Nyantekyi has been able to put in place measures that has revive the WAFU tournament which is currently being played in Ghana and is hoping to have it played every year.
