ASSIFUAH TIPS NIGERIAN YOUNGSTAR KELECHI IHEANACHO TO BE HIS STRONG CONTENDER AT GLO CAF AWARDS




Former Ghana youth international Ebenezer Assifuah has tipped Nigeria youngstar Kelechi Iheanacho as his threat in a bid to win the CAF young player of the year award.

Assifuah,19, who won the top scorer award at the 2013 World Youth Championship in Turkey believes the 17 year old Nigerian international is a really a threat to him so far as tomorrows award consend.


Iheanacho was adjudged the top scorer and 2nd best player at the 2013 FIFA under 17 world cup in UAE where he scored 6 goals for the Green Eaglets.

Assifuah is the only Ghanaian in contention for an award in this year’s Gala after Black Stars Captain Asamoah Gyan could not make to the final cut for the African player of the year Award.

The former Liberty now FC Sion goal poacher has been nominated alongside Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Saleh Gomaa from Egypt.
