VERTERAN COACH EK AFRANIE WANTS DAWDA TO BE IN POST AT WORLD CUP

Veteran Coach E.K Afranie says he would like it if Stars Goalkeeper Fatawu Dawda is being maintain in the stars post at the 2014 World Cup.

The former black starts and Gambia under 17 trainer revealed in an interview with Asempa fm,a locally based radio station saying” Fatawu has been in post throughout the qualification and is necessary  we maintain him at the World Cup”, although he has been facing his own problem at his club . Afranie believes the 28 year old former Ash Gold short stopper has more to offer  at  the World Cup.

The black stars first choice goalkeeper has been under the perking order by Pirates  Dutch Coach Roger De Sa, as he has not enjoyed any single minute in a competitive game ever since he joined the Bruccaners .

Dawda was a key member for the Stars at the 2013 AFCON Cup of nations in South Africa where he gave a good account of himself, but most Ghanaian public has called for him to be benched at the World Cup due to lack of playing time at his South African outfit.

The former Ash Gold and Okwawu United goalkeeper will be hoping to make Kwasi Appiah’s squad for the 2014 mundial.
