RECAP OF GHANAIAN PLAYERS ABROAD


Ghanaian players all over the World as usual were in action for their respective clubs over the weekend.

In England,Micheal Essien had his first League start this season as Chelsea beat Southhampton 3-1 at home.The Bison was however substituted in the 46th min by Senegalese international Demba Ba.Derrick Boateng continued to warm the Fulham bench as he watched the game from bench when Fulham lost 3-0 at Upton park to West Ham United.In the Championship,Albert Adomah tasted full action as Middelsbrough  managed to win 1-0 at home against Bolton Wanderes.German born Ghanaian youngstar,Jeffery Schlupp was an unused substitute as Leicester beat Millwal at home by 3-0.

In France,Jordan Ayew could not feature for Olympic Marsille as they won 2-0 at home to Montepellier.Senior brother Andre Ayew is still nursing an injury and could not make the Marsille team.John Boye is still on Rennes injury list as the 26 year old could not make the squad.Stars defender Jonathan Mensah played the entire duration for Evion who lost 2-0 at Bastia.

Elsewhere in Germany,Kelvin Prince Boateng came back from injury to help Schalke to an emphatic 3-0 win over Stuttgart at the Veltins Arena.The Ghanaian international however played full 90 min but was booked in the 70th min.Still in Germany,Karim Ballerabi was in full action for bottom place Eintracht Braunschweig who lost 2-0 to league leaders Bayern Munich at the Alliens Arena.In the German Bundesliga II,former under 20 full back Abdul Baba Rahman was a 2nd half substitute as he came on in the 76th min to help Greuther Furth beat Energie Cottbus 1-0 at home.

In the Spanish La Liga,Richmond Boakye Yiadom who is still knocking on the doors of the black stars got himself a start in the Elche team that lost 2-0 at home to 2nd place Athletico Madrid.The former under 20 forward was however substituted in the  by Christian Herrera in the 72nd min.
In the Italian Seria A,Afriyie Acquah was substituted in the 76th min by Raffaele Palladino when Parma drew 1-1 at home with Bologna.Isaac Cofie was an unused substitute when Genoa shared spoils with Torino at home as the game ended 1-1.In other  games,Sulley Muntari was not part of the Milan team that won 3-1 away at Catania.Youngstar Kingsley Boateng who is on loan from Milan could only managed the Catania bench.Raman Chibsah tasted 5min of play when he came on the 85th min for Luca Marrone to help Sassoulo pick a point at Cagliari as the game ended 1-1.Both  Acosty Maxwell and Alfred Duncan watched from the bench as Chievo beat Livorno 3-0.Inter Milan Ghanaian young defender Isaac Donkor sat on the bench when Inter drew 1-1 with Sampdoria at home.The Ghanaian battle did not happen as Kwadwo Asamoah did not make the Juventus team that managed a narrow 1-0 home win against Udinese.Hard working midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu came on for Bruno in the 67th min.

On loan Chelsea winger Christian Atsu lasted 85 min as Vitessi continued their unbeaten run when they walloped Cambuur Leeuwarden 3-0 to stay on top of the league.Impressive Shadrack Kwasi Eghan came on in the 79th min to help FC Twenty to win 2-1 at Roda JC.

In the UAE Golf League,Black stars captain Asamoah Gyan continued his goals scoring form when he got his 10th goal in 8 appearances this season as he banked in a brace to help Al Ain beat Emirates 5-2 to go back on top of the league.Fellow Ghanaian, Emmanuel Clottey played 74 min for Al Dhafra when they drew 0-0 with Ajman.

In the ABSA Premier league,2009 world cup winning goalkeeper Daniel Agyei was in post for when Free State Stars lost 0-2 at home to Kaizer Chiefs.Fellow team mate,Adam Abdul Basit came on in the 62nd min for Free state stars.Former Wa All Stars midfielder John Awuah won the man of the match when Bleomfotain Celtic beat Orlando Pirates 3-2.Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatawu Dawda was on the bench for Pirates.Former Kotoko defender Rashid Sumaila played the entired the game for Memolodi Sundowns who  beat Moeaka Swollows 2-1 at  home to stay on  top of the league.

In Russia,Striker Majid Waris as usual warmed the bench as Sparktak Moscow demolished Volga 6-1.
