WORK PERMIT STOPPED WARIS FROM PLAYING IN ENGLAND
Ghana forward Abdul Majeed Waris has revealed the reason
behind he not playing in England.The 22 year old Ghanaian goal poacher revealed
he was linked with several offers from the English Premier League but failed to
land a deal with any of the EPL sides due to the failure to secure work permit.
“Can’t play in England because of my working permit,” the
former Right to dream academy and BK Hacken player posted on his tweeter page
in responds to a fan.
Waris,22 was the top scorer in the Swedish top flight last
season before being poached by Russian outfit Spartak Moscow,but has not had the best of seasons in the Russian League
for Moscow due to lack of playing time.
Warris has only managed 11 League appearance this season for
Spartak scoring just once and will be
hoping to secure a loan move from the Russian side in the winter transfer to
enable him win a place in Coach Kwasi Appiah’s squad ahead of next year’s Fifa
World Cup in Brazil.
