REVIEW OF WEEK 15 OF THE GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE

The first round of the Ghana Premier League came to an end over the weekend as Kumasi Asante Kotoko made sure they maintained their lead on top of the log opening a 7 points lead gap.

In Accra,Liberty Proffessional  beat Hearts of Lions by 1-0 at the Ohene Gyan Sports Stadium.A Daniel Conney first half goal saw Liberty running away with a 3 points.They win however push Liberty from the 8th position to the 7th position.

In Obuasi,14th place Brekum Chelsea held Ashanti Gold to a 0-0 draw at the Obuasi LanClay sports stadium.The draw however did not take anything out of the Obuasi lads as they raise to the 2nd position with 27 points following Hearts of Oak's lost  to All stars.

At the Kumasi Sports Stadium,Kumasi King Faisal also continued their fine form at home as the beat Bechem United 2-1.Wilson Andoh and Yasir Abdulai got the 2 goals for King Faisal while Emmanuel Asante got the consolation for Bechem.The win pushes Faisal to the 9th position while Bechem slip to the 12 position.

In other games,Tema based Amidaus Proffessionals also lost to Secondi Hasaacas 2-3 at home.Amidaus fall to the 13th position with 17 points while Faisal suprisely raise to 5th position on the table.

Elswhere in Wa,goals from Edusei Banyin,Emmanuel Gyemfi and Paul Asare saw Wa All Stars shockingly beating Hearts Of Oak 3-0 at the Wa park.The Phobia lads slip from the 2nd position to 3rd position while All Stars raise to the 10 position with 18 point.

League leaders and defending Champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko managed to get a point at the Cape Coast Stadium when they drew 2-2 with Ebusua Dwarfs.2 goals in the space of 10 min from Fredrick Boateng and Richard Gadze was concelled by Abdul Aziz Yusif and Saidu Bancey.Kotoko still stay top with 34 points.7 point cleaar off 2nd and 3rd place Ash Gold and Hearts of Oak who both has 27 point.

6th place Medeama recieved a big shock when they were pipped 1-0 by bottom place Inter Allias at the Takwa T&A park on Saturday.Despit the win,Inter Allais still lie bottom with 12 points.

The last fixture saw Aduan Stars sharing spoils with New Edubiase at the Agyemang Badu Park as the game ended 0-0.

The goes on a break and will resume on the 9th of Febuary 2014.
